Hi, I’m Wayne.I’m a graphic designer who loves the web, design, beauty and things that are enjoyable to use. I am as excited by smart mark-up and clever CSS as I am by the single pixel that makes the perfect image.
Besides programming I also enjoy all aspects of photography. I love taking photos, editing photos, restoring photos, and traveling and to take photos.
I work for an awesome company in Hyattsville called Saturn Corporation. We provide a wealth of web and database services to nonprofit organizations around the world.
You have to be because I only want to work for the best.
You need a rock star. You need somebody that will tell you “no”, that will fight for an idea, and that isn’t such a fanboy that he won’t challenge years of what you have established as the way to do the web.
Here are some things I designed that I’m pretty proud of. For most of them I created the website from start to finish including client consultation, design, XHTML/CSS, interactive elements (Flash and Javascript), CMS integration, and page build.
Site is no longer active but was proclaimed "Sophisticated" by Michael Dresser; The Baltimore Sun; Aug 28, 2006
Theses are some kind words from some of the great people I have worked with over the years.
“Wayne Thume has done an exceptional job on the website for my Interior Design and Architecture business. His sense of style and knowledge of website creation produced a wonderful site for Fitzpatrick Design Studio. He was easy to work with and made my vision a reality. I have worked with other companies in the past and have not been completely confident in the website created. The experience and on going support that Wayne has offered will insure me working with him again as well as recommending him to other colleagues. ”

“Mr. Wayne Thume is a good friend and new neighbor who wanted to do something for the Alexandria community. He quickly offered to donate his ideas, skills and time over a 3 month period. Wayne redesigned and significantly improved the former Alexandria in Antiques (AIA) website for the annual 2010 AIA Antique Show on March 11-14. AIA is a nonprofit organization that raises money for three local charities.”
“Wayne is an experienced and accomplished web developer who quickly transformed the former AIA website that resulted in praise and thanks from the all volunteer AIA Board of Directors, our Show Manager and many of our 60 antique dealers, as well as helped increase the Show's revenue for our three beneficiaries. To see the new and improved AIA website, go to: www.AntiquesInAlexandria.com ”

“Wayne, you did a great job of putting my book together, letting me pester, suggest, and change little things along the way. You are a tried (tired) and true friend. Thank you for all! ”

“I highly recommend Wayne Thume. He is a wizard with computers and wonderful to work with. He has reproduced my paintings on stickers, postage stamps, brochures, on my website and CDs for me. He is creative, and often gives me ideas for marketing my art work. I have always been very pleased with whatever Wayne has done for me.”
