The first original Gameboy was released in 1989. It was big and gray and used 4 AA batteries. The Gameboy Color was released in 1996 (I think so) the Gameboy Color could connect to the Nintendo 64 with a special linking cable. The Gameboy Advance came out in 2000 it had no backlit screen (none of them did) the Gameboy Advance could connect to the Nintendo GameCube with a special linking wire also. The Gameboy Advance also had a link cable that attached up to 4 Gamboy Advances together. The Gameboy Advance SP came out in 2002. It had a backlit screen. The Gameboy Advance SP could do everything that a Gameboy Advance could. Later, there was a Gameboy Advance that had a brighter backlit screen. Then in 2005, the Gameboy Micro came out. It can't connect to the Nintendo Gamecube.

My first GameBoy I got it for my birthday in 2002
